Mother Nature’s light calls us to see how life and time evolve throughout each season. Do we answer? Do we take time to notice?
The recent array of colors and seasons inspired me to write this blog. From gentle pinks to raging golds, the diversity amazes. Hopefully, this blog is a reminder for all of us embrace nature and her elements. To take in the light and nature that’s close by.
Sure, photography is about capturing images. But’s also about our experience. What we saw, felt, breathed and savored.
“Change, like nature, continues as a constant in our lives. Those moments with meaning, with those we care about, remain in our memories. If we let them. Just like a special photograph we go back and view, time and time again.”
Inspired by Mother Nature
Mother Nature’s Light
It was only a few months ago, when her autumn danced with an array of colors. Our fall’s glimmers and golds more than likely initiated heavenly dancing from the likes of Matisse, Van Gogh, Renoir and Monet.
Her colors glowed across Michigan’s landscape. Each day showered us with scarlets, oranges and ambers. Now, almost two seasons later, this past fall’s vividness fall lives on. In memories. In our images.
Just yesterday we were bracing for winter. A winter that while beautiful, was relatively calm. Now spring’s stealthy arrival teases and sometimes frustrates with surprise cold snaps and unwanted gray days.
As Mother Nature’s light softened with winter, shutters opened for new colors, shades and moods. Whites, grays with baby soft tones of blues and pinks tossed in. The privilege of witnessing moments in nature makes every chill bump and teeth chatter worth it.
Now, with almost each click of the shutter the gradual shifting of light emerges. The warmth in the air begins in small doses.
Make Your Time in Nature Happen
The beauty of change, the reality of life. With each seasonal shift, Mother Nature reminds us that time never stops. She doesn’t wait on the phone call, the meeting. Every day she keeps living and shifting.
If we wait too long we miss it.
Photographers live in shutter speed times. We relish those awesome shot memories and forever chase with optimism more future moments. There will never be another sunrise or sunset like the one today.
We also see and remember visual details with acuity. Those details surround us and are part of what makes life amazing and special.
The changing seasons remind all of us to live and embrace the moment. To cherish what’s around us.
