We’re sharing six snap happy holidays gifts for your photographer. If a photographer is on your gift list this season, then you’re in luck! To keep in line with your budget, we’ve grouped items from stocking stuffers to gifts under the tree.
As a long term photographer, these items reside in my camera bag today or are within reach for photo shoots. Plus, many of my photographer buddies use them too. From camera care, making our shootings lives easier, any of these will add a bit of snap to your happy photographer.
Holidays Gifts for your Photographer
These gifts range from useable stocking stuffers to delightful surprises:
Stocking Stuffers
Keep your lenses clean and ready to go with Hoodman’s easy access Lens Cleaners. With a set of these fast lens cleaners your photographer will toss these in their bag, purse, pockets and car. My #1 recommended stocking stuffer!
Second on my list is “air.” Seriously, the rocket blaster by Giotto has been with me almost since day one. Dust on my lenses? Shooting in dusty areas? The rocket blaster puffs off light debris from our lenses and filters. I’ve also used them to puff air onto my sensor in very rare occasions (never touch the camera sensor!) to remove light dust.
Under the Tree
I’m wishing for this one! I have a reflector and a light shield. This reflector is 5 in one. Add a hint of color, reduce shadows, redirect light. If you don’t like this size other’s are available.
Outdoor Heated Gloves (many choices from Amazon) were a surprise gift from my husband a few years ago. They’ve save my fingers many times over while shooting in frigid conditions.
Sometimes they’re on all the time, other times they’re in my camera bag in the event my cold shooting extends for a few hours. While it’s not camera gear, they extend my photography time in Michigan’s winter months. If you’re buying for a seasoned photographer, chances are they already have this little lens. The 50mm prime lens delights every time it’s popped on to the camera. Lightweight, fast, sharp and efficient. Plus it’s one of the most least expensive lenses on the market. Tip: when buying a lens for your photographer, knowing the make and type of camera ensures you buy the right lens. If you’re not quite sure, reach out to one of their photography buddies.

The Unexpected Gift for the Unexpected Situation
Not an addition to the camera bag, but an important set of tools. Is your photographer is an outdoor travel, nature or adventure photographer? A first aid kit gives some peace of mind. Accidents happen and preparedness is 75% of the battle. We keep one first aid kit (list at Amazon) in both vehicles at all times.
Holidays gifts for your Photographer? Not Sure What to Get?
You’re not a photographer and you decide to peep into their camera bag? Careful, it’s a scary sight! Sometimes it is hard to decide what’s needed or wanted.
Many of us are set in our routines, have specific brands and like to choose ourselves. My Camera Gear Technology and Accessories on Amazon holds a list of curated items to generate ideas. I’m a Nikon shooter so my list holds Nikon gear. If your photographer is a Canon, Sony or other, they offer relevant lenses, cameras and gear too with a quick search.
