Winds of change are constant. They surround us every day. It is up to us in how we embrace and respond to our changing world.
Will we be more aware of space? Of time? The needs of others? Our positive and negative impact on nature? Awareness is only part of the equation. Our action is the other.
We all have choices in how we respond. What we share and how we share. Photographers lighten the load for many when we share images, beauty in nature. We can be the positive part of change.
As photographers, we don’t just document change—we translate it. Every season teaches us something different if we’re paying attention: patience in winter, renewal in spring, abundance in summer, release in fall.
When we choose to notice those shifts and share them with intention, our work becomes more than imagery—it becomes an invitation. An invitation to see beauty where it’s easy to miss, and to believe that change, even when it feels unsettling, can move us forward.

In a world that often feels loud and divided, photography has the power to offer something quieter and steadier: perspective, grounding, and a reminder that change doesn’t always arrive as a storm. Sometimes, it moves through gently, one frame at a time.
When Winds of Change Happen
When winds of change happen, norms are shifted. Lives move on, sometimes with loss, other times with gains. Being aware of both, helps us help ourselves. And we can help others.
We choose to be the positive side of change. Let’s lighten the load. Take a deep breath and smile. Make it a great week!
Thought for the week April 20, 2020: Lights & Storms
Author’s Note:
Winds of Change began as a simple reflection, but it continues to evolve as I do. Over the years, photography has taught me that adapting—whether to light, weather, or life itself—is part of the process. I’m drawn to seasonal change because it mirrors the shifts we all experience, often without realizing it.
My hope is that these images offer a moment of calm and optimism, a reminder that change isn’t something to resist, but something we can meet with curiosity and intention. If even one photograph encourages someone to see the world a little differently, then it’s done its job.
